Experience the color, texture, pattern, and construction of the Paros stitched cowhide rug before commissioning a full-size piece.

This substantial 16" × 24" sample is individually constructed from genuine hair-on cowhide in the featured cognac and ivory colorway. Irregular ivory elements are arranged in loose rows against a warm cognac ground, creating an organic pattern with a relaxed, hand-composed rhythm.

Individual elements measure approximately 5" long and up to 2" wide. Their shapes and placement intentionally vary rather than following an exact grid. Named for the Greek island of Paros, the design recalls the irregular white stones that form its pathways and village streets.

The sample is made using the same materials and techniques as the full-size Paros rug, including individually cut cowhide elements, coordinating stitched seams, finished edges, and Furug’s protective felt backing with nonslip grip dots.

Every sample is constructed from individually cut pieces of genuine hair-on cowhide joined with coordinating stitching. Natural changes in hair direction create subtle variations in texture, color, and reflectivity.

The underside is finished with Furug’s protective felt backing and nonslip grip dots, matching the construction used for full-size stitched cowhide rugs.

In-stock samples are ready to ship and will be carefully packaged to protect the cowhide during delivery.
