Architectural Geometry, Softened by Natural Cowhide

Palermo transforms a single tapered shape into an intricate field of movement and dimension. Each tile measures approximately 5.5 inches across the top before narrowing to 3 inches at the base. Repeated across the rug, the shape creates an interlocking geometric rhythm that shifts subtly with the direction, color, and natural texture of each hide.

Shown in natural light beige with stonewashed accents, Palermo balances warm neutrals with organically varied markings. Every piece of cowhide is individually selected, cut, arranged, and stitched, making each finished rug naturally one of a kind.

The Story Behind Palermo

The pattern came first; the name came later. Palermo was chosen in memory of a visit to the Sicilian city, where layered architecture, repeating geometry, and the contrast of sun and shadow felt like a natural counterpart to the design.

Made for Your Space

Palermo is made to order in Brazil by skilled artisans and may be customized in natural cowhide, any of our 30 dyed colors, metallic finishes, embossed hides, and other specialty materials.

Standard and custom dimensions are available, including runners and unusually proportioned spaces. Palermo may also be adapted for a custom wall installation.
