Painted Calfskin
Painted Calfskin
A true statement piece, each painted calfskin transforms natural leather into functional art. Hand-finished with bold, expressive color patterns, these one-of-a-kind hides blend contemporary design with the organic character that only genuine calfskin can provide.
Unlike larger cowhides, painted calfskin offers a more versatile scale, making it ideal for laying over ottomans, styling draped in a chair, or adding unexpected color to a bedroom, office, or creative space. Each hide averages approximately 40 inches in length, bringing artistic impact without overwhelming a room. Also amazing for craft projects!
The natural texture and markings of the calfskin remain visible beneath the painted finish, creating depth, movement, and individuality in every piece. No two painted calfskins are exactly alike, ensuring your rug is as unique as the space it inhabits.

WHY FURUG COWHIDE RUGS?
Not all cowhide rugs are created equal. Furug cowhides are individually hand-selected in Brazil for exceptional size, hair quality, natural sheen, softness and distinctive character.
Rather than sourcing for price or volume, we choose hides for their individual beauty and presence. The result is a more substantial cowhide rug with the quality, character and one-of-a-kind appeal we believe exceptional interiors deserve.
NATURAL & ONE OF A KIND
No two natural cowhides are ever exactly alike. Variations in color, markings, shape and hair are inherent to the hide and are part of what makes each rug distinctive.
Rather than treating these natural differences as imperfections, we consider them part of the character of the piece. Each Furug cowhide is selected individually and photographed so you can choose the hide that best suits your space.
