Multi-Pelt Icelandic Sheepskin Rug – Brown + Black

Our Brown + Black Multi-Pelt Icelandic Sheepskin Rugs combine multiple natural sheepskins into a generously scaled rug with rich coloration and exceptional textural variation. Shades can range from deep espresso and chocolate brown to charcoal and near-black, often accented by softer taupe, cream or naturally variegated wool.

Each rug is individually composed from natural pelts, allowing differences in wool length, curl, texture and coloration to become part of the finished design. The result is a highly individual rug with considerably more depth and character than a uniformly colored sheepskin.

CURRENT AVAILABILITY

This color family is currently sold out. The photographs shown represent previously offered Furug Brown + Black multi-pelt rugs and illustrate the natural variation that can occur within this collection.

When new rugs become available, each individual rug will be photographed and listed separately, allowing you to select the exact coloration, proportions and dimensions you will receive.

NATURAL MATERIAL. GENEROUS SCALE.

Multi-pelt construction creates the scale of an area rug while retaining the tactile character and organic quality of natural sheepskin. Variations in brown, black, charcoal and softer neutral tones create a particularly rich surface that works beautifully against stone, wood, plaster and upholstered furnishings.

Our in-stock rugs typically retain an organic perimeter that follows the natural contours of the individual pelts. Differences in wool length, curl, texture and coloration are inherent to the material and give every finished rug its individual character.

The generous scale makes these rugs particularly suited to seating areas, bedrooms and spaces where a single sheepskin would feel too small.

CUSTOM SIZES & SHAPES

For projects requiring specific dimensions or proportions, Furug can also produce custom multi-pelt sheepskin rugs for designers and trade clients. Custom rugs can be created in larger sizes and tailored shapes, including designs with cleaner, straighter edges when a more architectural profile is preferred.
