Natural Brown Heidschnucke Sheepskin Rug – Natural Ember
Natural Brown Heidschnucke Sheepskin Rug – Natural Ember
Rich, earthy color and beautifully untamed wool give our Natural Ember Heidschnucke sheepskins their distinctive character. Native to northern Germany, the Heidschnucke is prized for its long, textural fleece and remarkable natural variation.
Natural Ember represents the warm brown spectrum found naturally in Heidschnucke sheepskins. Individual hides may range from rich chocolate and earthy brown to softer taupe, gray-brown and cream, often with distinctive markings, tonal shifts and naturally lighter or darker wool tips.
Because these colors occur naturally, no two Natural Ember sheepskins will look exactly alike. Each available hide is individually photographed so you can select the exact coloration, pattern and character you prefer.
SELECT YOUR HIDE
The sheepskin shown is the exact hide you will receive. When multiple Natural Ember sheepskins are available, select your preferred hide from the options above to see the individual sheepskin and its dimensions.
Rather than asking you to choose from a generic color swatch, Furug photographs each available sheepskin individually so you can select the exact natural coloration, shape and character that works for your space.

NATURALLY ONE OF A KIND
Natural variation is inherent to genuine Heidschnucke sheepskin. Differences in shading, markings, wool length, curl and texture should be expected and celebrated. These are not manufactured rugs designed to look identical; each is a unique natural hide.
The long, dimensional wool makes Heidschnucke particularly striking draped over a chair or bench, layered at the foot of a bed, or used as a small sheepskin rug. Its sophisticated neutral coloring works especially well in interiors where texture and natural materials are an important part of the design.
Each Furug sheepskin is individually selected for its beauty, quality and distinctive character.

Frequently Asked Questions
Genuine sheepskin is naturally durable and requires minimal care. Regular gentle shaking helps refresh the wool, while occasional brushing can restore its softness and loft.
Blot spills promptly with a clean, absorbent cloth rather than rubbing. For deeper cleaning, we recommend using a professional cleaner experienced with genuine sheepskin and leather-backed hides. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive moisture.
In-stock sheepskins typically ship within 1–3 business days. Each piece is carefully packed to protect the natural wool and shape during transit.
Because natural sheepskins vary in color, markings and character, we photograph individual hides whenever exact-hide selection is offered so you can choose your piece with confidence. Please review our Shipping and Returns policies for complete details.
Natural sheepskins are inherently one of a kind. Color, markings, wool length, texture and shape will vary from hide to hide—these differences are part of their natural beauty rather than imperfections.
Furug hand-selects sheepskins for quality, character and distinctive coloration, with an emphasis on exceptional natural varieties and European breeds. Unless a product is specifically identified as dyed, the coloration shown is naturally occurring.
