How To Fix A Cowhide Rug Curl

Even the best cowhide rugs can get a curl now and again.  What's happening is the cowhide rug leather is losing some moisture and starts to curl a little.  I'll show you how to fix that in just a few very easy steps.  I let the example from a cowhide rug in our showroom curl for several months to get it really ready to show how well this works.....  Learn how to clean a cowhide rug here.

STEP ONE:  Spray some water on top of the cowhide rug just where the curl is.

STEP TWO:  Spray some water on the underside of the cowhide rug just where the curl is.

STEP THREE:  Place a rag or washcloth flat under the damp area and also one directly on top of the cowhide rug curl.

STEP FOUR:  Place something flat and heavy on top of the cowhide rug and leave overnight.  *Make sure you have forced the curl to lay flat underneath the rag.

And there you go!  After sitting overnight your cowhide rug curl should be all fixed and flat as a board!
