STEP ONE:  Spray some water on top of the cowhide rug just where the curl is.

STEP TWO:  Spray some water on the underside of the cowhide rug just where the curl is.

STEP THREE:  Place a rag or washcloth flat under the damp area and also one directly on top of the cowhide rug curl.

STEP FOUR:  Place something flat and heavy on top of the cowhide rug and leave overnight.  *Make sure you have forced the cowhide curl to lay flat underneath the rag.

And there you go!  After sitting overnight, the curled edge should relax and lie flat again. For a stubborn curl, the process can be repeated, taking care not to oversaturate the hide.
